Dr. Sonyuan Lin,
Ph.D. Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer
qqq Dr. Lin received a masters degree in 1986 from the School of Pharmacy at
Kaohsiung Medical College, Kaohsiung, Taiwan before attending the
University of Connecticut where he received a Ph.D. in Medicinal
Chemistry. After a 3 year Post Doctoral training period at the
University of Connecticut, he worked at Admetric Biochem, Inc. for 3
years as Manager of Medicinal Chemistry, then at Personal Chemistry,
Inc. as a Senior Synthetic Chemist. He also recently served as Director
of Business Development at the chemical company, CNH Technologies. He is
an experienced Medicinal Chemist with more than 30 publications and 5
patents, and will supervise global operations of Essenix.
Dr. Xiaoyu Tian,
Ph.D. Co-Founder, President, Chief Scientific Officer
qqq Dr. Tian is an experienced self-starter and has a proven record as a
successful business leader in the pharmaceutical industry. His
accomplishments include adding value for investors by strategic
positioning and commercializing new pharmaceutical products. He was
founder and Vice President of R&D and Operations of Beilu
Pharmaceuticals, Inc. ( Beijing, China), a company specialized in
diagnostic drug development (contrast reagents) for medical imaging. Dr.
Tian had gained extensive experiences on company strategy planning,
establishing/motivating/supervising research and market teams, and
leading through drug development from pre-clinical, clinical trial, new
drug application, and production under the guidelines of Chinese State
Food and Drug Administration. Dr. Tian will manage the Essenix’s
operation in China. Dr. Tian holds an MS degree in Medical Physics from
the Department of Electronics at Peking University, Beijing, and a Ph.D.
degree in Pharmaceutical Science from the University of Connecticut USA.
His education includes studies of cannabinoid chemistry, biochemistry,
and molecular biophysics.
Dr. Hui-May Chu, Ph.D. MBA, Chief Financial
Officer
qqq Dr. Chu has an MBA in Finance,
and a PhD. in Statistics from University of Connecticut, and has a broad
and deep experience in the pharmaceutical business. From the drug
discovery side, Dr. Chu was deeply involved in every aspect in a
start-up company, Admetric Biochem Inc, Medford, MA. From the clinical
side, Hui-May has been providing support for IND and NDA submissions,
which include performing both classical and population pharmacokinetics/pharmadynamics
data analysis and conducting clinical trial simulations, for Clinical
Protocols, Investigator’s Brochure. Dr. Chu also served as a Financial
Analyst that main responsibility was to provide integrated corporate
loan portfolios for top executives of Connecticut National Bank.
Ms. Tong Yi, Director
qqq Ms. Tong Yi is the one most experienced CRO personnel in China who understands the clinical regulations, government affairs, and people manner.
